In Seykūnarin we learn with the guidance of guardians of living territories and ancestral knowledges in the protection of life and how to practice those learnings in our spaces and context

Ywikūnarin is a space that connects with the heart of the world through the Umunukunu Pluriversity. to weave a Tutu for learning Earth knowledges in and from the Netherlands and beyond.  The foundation seeks to create a space for meeting between different knowledges, seeking collision with communities in similar struggle. And to weave between territories, countries, cultures and in between worlds, and with all who want to remember who we are with Earth, to heal her and protect her. 

With our activities we support the Iku in the mission to protect the heart of the world, and to recover the ancestral territory, always in the direction of autonomy.

Umunūkunu

                                         

                               




Umunukunu Is the practice of ancestral living knowledge that have always existed for the Iku. We have called it the Pluriversity because it departs from the acknowledgement of a plurality of knowledges.


Mamo Arwawikuis part of the Arhuaco. Together with the Kogi, Wiwa and Kankuamothe Arhuaco live in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in the north of Colombia. They have had a close bond with this area for centuries and have been keeping a close watch on the area they call home closely for centuries. They have managed to preserve their ancestral knowledge from before the arrival of Columbus to the Americas in 1492.
In combination with the rich and unique ecosystems of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta area their knowledge is of invaluable worth in this age of human induced change of the climate and biodiversity loss.

Our aim is to support the Arhuaco community of Kwarte Umuan communities to preserve as well as spread their knowledge across invisible borders as to help them achieve the impact necessary to preserve life on the only known planet with a biosphere in the universe.

Ywikunarin is part of Pluriversity /Umunukunu and functions as an embassy for the Arhuaco of the Kwarte Umuk. With this connection they create a space an ongoing encounter of different areas, cultures and forms of knowledge and worlds. In doing so we aim to be a bridge between the Sierra Madre and Europe. The foundation aims to form a platform that develops various forms of cultural activities to help protect and share the knowledge of the Arhuaco to enable a mutually enriching dialogue.

By supporting and following us, you contribute to our objective to protect the living world and to honor and restore the connection with the living world.

Our Core Activities:
  •  We are the representation in the Ywikunarin territory for the Umunuku from the sierra Nevada under the mandate and consultation of the mamos.
  • We connect to and join with different movements, communities and territories who work for the same higher goals
  • We recognize and remember sacred site and territories
  • We do storytelling
  • We do fundraising in service of the Umunuku
